SBS offers the International General Certificate of Secondary Education ( IGCSE ) for grades IX and X, catering to the age group of 14-16, and International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme (IBDP) for grades XI and XII, serving students in the age group of 16-19. The academic year for the International Curriculum begins from the first week of April. SBS students take the February/March CAIE examinations and the May series for the IBDP board examinations.

*Students who opt for Coordinated Science will be awarded double credit; consequently, they will choose 8 subjects instead of 9
Step by Step offers an enriching curriculum for Grades XI-XII, following the International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme (IBDP). Explore a variety of subjects across different bands to tailor students’ educational journey.
A 4,000-word independent research project, the EE allows students to explore a self-chosen topic within IBDP subjects, fostering critical thinking and analytical skills under the guidance of a dedicated supervisor. It is a unique opportunity for academic growth and personal exploration, emphasising both depth of knowledge and independent inquiry.
Encouraging students to question assumptions, evaluate knowledge claims, and explore the nature of knowledge itself, TOK goes beyond subject-specific boundaries, fostering a holistic understanding of the world. Through engaging discussions and thought-provoking inquiries, TOK equips students with the tools to navigate and question the complexities of knowledge in their academic pursuits and beyond.
CAS encourages students to explore their passions, engage with their community, and develop a well-rounded perspective. It's more than a requirement; it's a transformative journey that nurtures not only academic skills but also instil a sense of responsibility, empathy, and a commitment to making a positive impact on the world.

It's important to note that students typically choose one subject from each of the first five groups, and the sixth group allows for flexibility based on their interests and career goals. Students are required to choose a total of six subjects, with three at the higher level and three at the standard level. This structure aims to provide students with a well-rounded education.
