The recent Literacy Workshop for parents, held on 10th September 2024, was a resounding success. Focused on the four key skills of language development—listening, speaking, reading, and writing—the workshop provided parents with hands-on methods to actively support their children’s learning. Engaging activities like ‘Simon Says’ and ‘Chinese Whispers’ encouraged parents to participate enthusiastically while learning to sound out letters, blend them into words, and break words down for writing. This interactive session equipped parents with practical tools and techniques to reinforce their children’s phonics journey, ensuring an enjoyable and effective approach to strengthening their literacy foundation.
