Ms. Jaya Punj Modi is an experienced educator and academic leader with over two decades of work in early childhood and primary education. As Head of Junior School, she brings a deep commitment to nurturing young learners through inclusive, inquiry-led and joyful classrooms that encourage curiosity, creativity and confidence. Ms. Modi has served as Deputy Head of Junior School at Genesis Global School and as Principal of Pathways Early Years. She also founded Gymboree Play and Music in New Delhi, bringing global early learning practices into meaningful child-centred spaces. Across her career, she has worked closely with teachers through mentoring, professional development and reflective practice, with a strong belief that empowered teachers create empowered learners. She values a warm and engaged parent community and sees families as essential partners in a child’s learning journey. Ms. Modi is a commerce graduate with an MBA. She holds a Certificate in Early Childhood Education from New York University, a Post Graduate Diploma in Teaching Children with Special Needs, and a B.Ed. She has also pursued professional learning with the Harvard Graduate School of Education and the International Baccalaureate Organisation.
