Grandparents’ Day at SBS was a heartfelt tribute to the love, wisdom, and quiet strength that grandparents bring into children’s lives. Celebrated with warmth and enthusiasm across all Grade 1 classrooms, the event created a beautiful space for intergenerational bonding through stories, creativity, and shared experiences.
The day came alive with storytelling sessions that sparked imagination and joy, followed by collaborative activities where children and their grandparents worked together on bookmark making, origami, envelope crafting, and lady finger painting. Laughter echoed through the rooms as they sang songs, prepared sandwiches in a fireless cooking session, and enjoyed games like Tambola and riddles—with a dash of playful fun added through the use of fake currency.
Beyond the laughter and crafts, the event reinforced the idea that learning is deeply enriched when generations come together. By opening the doors of the classroom to grandparents, the celebration bridged past and present, sowing seeds of lasting memories and shared traditions in the hearts of young learners.
