The Mental Fitness Influencers, in collaboration with the Counselling Department, organized the first-ever Manotsav for Staff—a heartfelt initiative celebrating the mental well-being of SBS’s backbone: its staff. Held on the second day after the summer break, the fest offered a thoughtful, student-led welcome with calming, creative, and reflective experiences.
All academic and non-academic staff were invited to engage with various curated stalls focusing on aspects of mental wellness. These included mindfulness practices like guided breathing and grounding exercises; expressive arts such as mandala making, bracelet crafting, face painting, and collaborative art; and reflection corners with inkblots and gratitude messages for peers.
The self-care zone featured affirmation cards, movement-based activities, and open conversations on emotional well-being. The “Release Corner,” a favorite among staff, allowed stress relief through tactile materials like bubble wrap and Styrofoam. A life-sized Snakes and Ladders game added laughter and team spirit to the mix.
The diversity of experiences ensured every staff member could find something that resonated. The warm, joyful atmosphere brought people together—reminding us of the power of emotional connection, the importance of intentional pauses, and the value of prioritizing mental health in everyday life.
